The State Council on Climate Change was held on 8th of September chaired by the Chief Secretary of the State Mr. Shatrughan Singh. Participants included senior bureaucrats at the Principal Secretary/ Secretary. For institutionalization of climate actions, the State Council on Climate Change undertook key decisions which included

1. Up to 1% of sectoral budgets to be provided for climate actions under the sectoral budget.

2. The Climate Change Centre to be given autonomous status for implementing the SAPCC and mainstreaming climate change into development actions.

3. Automated weather stations to be implemented across the state for fulfilling the data gaps
